Singly is a vocal training tool. We collect only what we need to provide the service and give you control over your data. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to delete it.
What we collect
Audio recordings. When you record a session, the audio is uploaded to our servers and analysed automatically. The raw audio file is stored so you can play it back and so we can re-analyse if needed.
Account information. When you sign up, we store your email address and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
Usage data. We log anonymised events (e.g. “recording uploaded”, “analysis completed”) to understand how the product is used. These logs do not contain your email or the content of your recordings.
Timezone. If you set a timezone in Settings, we store it to compute your local dates and streaks correctly.
Why we collect it
Audio is collected solely to generate your vocal analysis. We do not use your recordings to train machine learning models or share them with third parties.
Account data is used for authentication and to associate your sessions with your account.
Usage logs help us fix bugs, improve reliability, and understand which features are useful.
Retention and deletion
You can delete any recording at any time from the Settings page. Deleting a recording removes the audio file and all associated analysis data permanently.
If you want to delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@getsingly.com and we will process your request within 30 days.
Sharing
Share links are entirely optional. When you generate a share link, it creates a read-only, publicly accessible view of your analysis — no audio is included unless the listener opens the playback player (which uses a short-lived signed URL).
You can revoke a share link at any time from the results page. Once revoked, the link immediately returns “not found” to anyone who opens it.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Cookies and tracking
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
Payments
If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID — we never see or store your card number. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to payment data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date.
